The ICRARD web site launched
The ICRARD web site was officially launched at the meeting of the International Regulatory Forum (IRF) in Santa Barbara, USA, on 28 October 2004.
The offshore oil and gas industry is an international one. Major companies operate in many countries, and in each, certain organizations are in place to assess and ensure the use of sound technological developments.
ICRARD's purpose is to coordinate research activities: to exchange information: and to promote research cooperation between these organizations.
ICRARD is organized under the primary sponsorship of
- the United States' Minerals Management Service (MMS)
- Great Britain's Health and Safety Executive (HSE)
- Canada's National Energy Board (NEB)
- Norway's Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA)
ICRARD's web site provides an overview of ongoing HSE-related research programs and projects in the member countries, and include links to key contacts, research programs and institutes etc. The advanced ICRARD search engine is linked to selected web sites with relevant information on HSE research and development projects.
