Welcome to the August edition (www.hsesro.com/). In this issue we are very pleased to publish two articles, Conveyer Belt Safety and Workplace Exposure to Formaldehyde written by our colleagues from IRSST (Occupational Health and Safety Research Institute) based in Montreal (Quebec) Canada.

We are also very pleased to announce that the SCI who have successfully hosted SRO for the last three years has agreed to continue to host for a further three year period.
Science and Research Outlook (SRO) is an on-line interactive newsletter detailing the comprehensiveness of HSE’s science and engineering activities.
